Norski Nibbles – 2023
Written by Christ Lutheran Church | May 9, 2022 | General NewsLatest NewsOutreach
Can you help Norski Nibbles this year?
The Norski Nibbles summer free lunch program for hungry kids in the DeForest Area
School District will start serving lunches on June 12th, 2023. With over 800 students
eligible for free or reduced lunches in the DeForest Area School District, there will be
a lot of hungry children in need of a nutritious meal. Norski Nibbles can fill that
need with your help!!!
We will once again be asking for volunteers to hand out the lunches at three local
parks. The weeks for Christ Lutheran Church are June 26 – June 30 and August 7-August 11.
If you would like to distribute lunches during CLC week, please use this link to select a park and date that works for you:

The week of August 28 through September 1 is designated Community Week where volunteers from area churches and organizations are needed to distribut lunches. Please use this link to select a park and date that works for you.

We are also looking for volunteers to help in the day-to-day operations of Norski Nibbles. During the week, we need volunteers to help make sandwiches, get the lunches ready for distribution, instruct volunteers when they pick-up lunches, and replenish parks with lunches as needed. Starting time begins at 9:00 am and ends around 1:00 pm. Shoppers are needed to purchase food items at local stores and/or the DeForest Farmer’s Market.
If you can help in anyway, please contact Bob Mathweg at 608-772-3893 or email him at NorskiNibbles@gmail.com
We are asking that instead of food donations, monetary donations be made so that the specific items needed can be purchased. Please make checks payable to Christ Lutheran Church and put Norski Nibbles in the memo area.
The need in our community is great! Last year, 2022, we distributed approximately 4,500 lunches. Please feel free to share this information with groups or individuals
who would be interested in helping the kids of our community.
Thank you for your generosity!
